Who is the Forest School Practitioner?

My name is Melissa and I'm a Level 3 Forest School Practicioner and a primary school teacher with more than 10 years experience in teaching.  I have taught all year groups from nursery right up to year 6.  I have two children (7 & 5 years old),  who were my inspiration to train as a forest school leader, as well as the children I work with and I now run a forest after school club at their school. What better job for an outdoorsy person who loves working with children.

I have seen how those quiet, shy children become confident and independent just by being able to take small manageable risks, like building a den, climbing trees and using tools.
