Forest School Assistant Level 2 Award
WHO IS THIS FOR:
This course is aimed at people who would like to assist on a forest school programme. Designed to enable learners to develop an understanding of the principles & ethos of forest school.
QUALIFICATION AIM
Provides trainees with the skills to assist forest school leaders when supporting forest school programmes.
DURATION
-6 months-1 year
- 5 days face to face training
-3 days assisting a forest school leader
plus support over over a year
DATES
29th, 30th 31st May 2020
6th-7th or 20th,-21st June 2020 tbc
LOCATION
Set in a private woodland in a beautiful location in Hertfordshire with close links to the A10 & M25.
MINIMUM AGE & REQUIREMENTS
-18 years
-DBS
-must be in a postition to support a level 3 forest school leader in delivering a forest school programme (although we may be able to help with this).
ASSESSMENT
Trainees must attend submit a portfolio of evidence.

Forest School Leader Level 3 Certificate
WHO IS THIS FOR:
This course is aimed at people who would like to deliver a forest school programme.
QUALIFICATION AIM
Provides trainees with the skills & knowledge required to plan and lead forest school programmes. Suitable for school & college teaching staff, & assistants, youth workers & adults with experience in educational settings
DURATION
-9 months- 1 year
-9 days face to face training 9.30-4.30pm
as well support over the year
DATES
29th, 30th 31st May 2020
6th-7th or 20th,-21st June 2020 tbc
Practical assessments take place over a weekend: 3rd, 4th, 5th July 2020
LOCATION
Set in a private woodland in a beautiful location in Hertfordshire with close links to the A10 & M25.
MINIMUM AGE & REQUIREMENTS
-Trainees must be at least 19 years old to access the course but cannot act as a forest school leader until 21 years of age.
-hold a minimum of a Level 2 qualification in childcare plus 2 years experience
-DBS
- An (Outdoor) Paediatric First Aid Qualification is needed prior to starting your own FS practice. We do not provide the training for this so you will need to book a course, if you do not have one. We can help you with this.
ASSESSMENT
Trainees must attend submit a portfolio of evidence.
Practical assessments take place over a weekend: 3rd, 4th, 5th July 2020
